Uniting Africa’s Nurses to Lead, Learn & Innovate

Who We Are

The Nurse Guild of Africa (NGA) is a pan-African membership organization founded to unite nurses, midwives, educators, and innovators to improve health outcomes across the continent. As a professional guild, we serve as a platform for collaboration, mentorship, and lifelong learning. Our network spans rural and urban settings, from community health clinics to university lecture halls and global forums.

We operate at the intersection of technology, education, policy, and empowerment, aiming to:

  • Bridge the gap between health systems and frontline care
  • Elevate the status of nurses and midwives
  • Build the leadership pipeline for African nursing
  • Promote culturally sensitive and evidence-informed care

We are driven by equity, inclusion, Pan-Africanism, and the belief that every nurse is a catalyst for change.

A strong, connected, and empowered nursing and midwifery workforce across Africa, driving equitable, people-centered health for all.
