Vaka was founded in 2021 with a clear and urgent mission: to transform holistic health outcomes across African countries. The name VAKA—a word recognised across the continent meaning to build or construct—captures exactly who we are. We build systems that work, communities that trust, technologies that connect, and pathways that bring quality healthcare to every corner of Africa. Now.

Our foundation is led by clinicians, researchers, and innovators with deep roots in African healthcare systems and strong ties to global academic institutions. This dual perspective enables us to bridge worlds between local realities and global expertise to design solutions that are both ambitious and grounded.
