π NGA Scholarship Fund
We believe in nurses who dream big β and act boldly. The Nurse Guild of Africa Scholarship Fund offers financial support of up to $30,000 USD per applicant to help outstanding nurses pursue education, launch health initiatives, and scale impact-driven projects.
Our scholarships are not just academic β they are entrepreneurial and transformational. Designed to equip nurse leaders with the knowledge and funding to create lasting change in their communities.
β What the Scholarship Covers
- Tuition fees for postgraduate health programs
- Launching or scaling a nurse-led community health project
- Purchasing essential tools, technology, or learning materials
- Attending regional or international nursing conferences
- Accessing additional mentorship and business incubation
π§πΎβπ Eligibility Criteria
- Be a registered nurse or midwife in Africa
- Be a member of the Nurse Guild of Africa
- Have a strong proposal that addresses a health challenge in their community
- Have successfully completed the following online Guild courses:

- π Quality Assurance in Healthcare
- π Project Planning & Management in Health
π How to Enrol in Required Courses
These courses are fully online, self-paced, and can be completed in under 12 weeks:
- Includes quizzes, case studies, downloadable resources, and certificate on completion
- Enrolment is FREE for Guild members

- Your Full Name & Country
- Completed certificates from required courses
- A 3-minute video pitch or 1,000-word concept note of your proposed project or learning plan
- Budget breakdown and timeline
- Two reference letters (including one from a health professional)

We understand that access to capital is one of the greatest barriers faced by nurses trying to turn ideas into action. Thatβs why we offer the NGA Nurse Microfinance Fund β a low-interest, low-barrier finance initiative for nurse-led health enterprises.

- Have a health-related business idea or an existing community project
- Are based in an African country and have a sustainable model
- Have completed the required training:
- Entrepreneurship Course
- Project Management Course
- Demonstrate a clear plan for repayment and growth

- 0% interest rate depending on your location and project category
- 12β24 months flexible repayment plans
