Strategy
The Guild's grant-making strategy focuses on three key areas: education, research, and implementation. Specifically, we seek to:
Cultivate a new generation of nurse innovators;
Equip young nurse researchers with the broad, interdisciplinary skill sets necessary to lead change in health care;
Support innovations with a high potential for patient impact;
Encourage the rapid development of promising research;
Promote the translation of tested innovations into policy and practice; and
Ensure that significant innovations reach the greatest number of patients.
Innovation is the application of a new idea or the adoption of an existing idea in a new way. In the field of nursing science, innovation might involve developing something new or adapting an old technology, approach, system, or process.
The results of these and other collaborations could lead to changes in how nurses care for patients, get their training, teach others, communicate with patients and families and more.
