This course provides an in-depth understanding of endometriosis, a complex and often misunderstood chronic condition affecting millions of women and people assigned female at birth in Africa. Designed for healthcare professionals, students, and community health workers, the course covers the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and multidisciplinary management of endometriosis.
Participants will explore the physical, emotional, and social impacts of the condition, including the challenges of delayed diagnosis and the stigma often associated with menstrual and pelvic pain. The course emphasises evidence-based approaches to medical and surgical management, fertility considerations, pain management strategies, and holistic, person-centred care. The importance of early intervention, patient advocacy, and culturally sensitive care, especially in low-resource, rural, and underserved settings, is emphasised. African case studies, patient narratives, and emerging research are integrated to foster critical thinking and compassionate practice.
The purpose of this course is to equip health practitioners with the skills to work within the digital ecosystem. Key strategies will be learnt around the design and implementation of digital health, including the principles of digital security and health innovations applications. Digital health trends and the policies driving them will be another focus, alongside digital health applications in a range of settings. Finally, hospital information technology, business analytics in health care, artificial intelligence and medical and health big data will also be incorporated.
This dual certification program equips professionals with a powerful blend of executive health-sector leadership and board-level corporate governance expertise. It is designed for individuals who want to lead complex health organisations while also being fully prepared to serve as effective company directors. The Certified Health Executive component builds advanced capability in health‑system management, clinical governance, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and strategic leadership within healthcare environments. Participants learn to navigate the unique challenges of health organisations and drive high‑quality service delivery. The Certified Company Director component develops strong governance foundations, including fiduciary duties, financial oversight, risk management, ethical leadership, and strategic decision‑making at the board level. This dual qualification is ideal for health executives, managers, entrepreneurs, and professionals seeking board appointments or senior leadership roles.
The course will explore the development of ideas, into innovative products and services, within an entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial construct to deliver financial and or social value. Key concepts on entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, innovation, and value creation will be covered.

ECSACON has partnered with RCSI Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery and RCSI Institute of Global Surgery to produce Perioperative Nursing E-learning Foundational Programme (PeN Programme).
This one year Programme aims to support the development and maintenance of clinical competence in perioperative nursing care and to contribute to safe patient care pre/during and after surgery in East, Central, and Southern Africa.
It will provide learners with up to date, evidenced based knowledge to critically develop their theoretical and practical understanding of nursing care delivery in the operating theatre environment.
Programme content was created by writing teams of experienced nurses from clinical operating departments in seven countries.

The Perioperative Nursing E-learning Foundational Programme (PONEF) is designed in line with World Health Assembly resolution WHA68 which emphasises “strengthening emergency and essential surgical care and anaesthesia as a component of universal health coverage” (2015).
The Programme aims to
support the development and maintenance of clinical competence
in perioperative nursing care and to contribute to safe patient
care pre/during and after surgery in East, Central, and Southern Africa. It will provide
learners with up to date, evidenced based knowledge to critically develop their
theoretical and practical understanding of nursing care delivery in the
operating theatre environment.

The Course will launch in September 2022 and more details will be provided as we proceed towards the launch.
